Stormy Daniels’ husband, fellow adult film star Barret Blade, has revealed that the couple may flee the United States if Donald Trump is acquitted in his ongoing trial. Blade, who testified for two days in the trial last week, was highly critical of women’s groups and other Trump critics for not supporting his wife as the case has developed.
In an interview, the 50-year-old Blade expressed sadness over the anger directed at Daniels and said he doesn’t see a positive future for them in America, regardless of the trial’s outcome. “Either way, I don’t think it gets better for her. I think if it’s not guilty, we got to decide what to do. Good chance we’ll probably vacate this country,” he stated.
Blade claims they will face reprisals from Trump’s supporters whether the former president wins or loses the case, and also criticized former Daniels attorney Michael Avenatti, who was convicted of stealing from her. He further lambasted women’s groups for not helping with Daniels’ legal fees, despite her advocating for what she conceives to be women’s rights.
During her testimony last week, Daniels provided explicit details about her alleged 2006 sexual encounter with Trump. Trump’s defense sought a mistrial, calling Daniels’ testimony “extraordinarily prejudicial.”
Daniels’ marriage to Blade, her fourth husband, was revealed last year. The couple, who have known each other for 25 years, kept the details of their nuptials private. Blade, whose real name is Russell Barrett, runs a business selling alien-themed merchandise and Stormy Daniels merchandise.
The trial revolves around the $130,000 payment Daniels received from Trump’s team before the 2016 election to keep quiet about their alleged affair. Trump faces criminal charges related to the reimbursements made to his former attorney Michael Cohen, who facilitated the payment.
