Newly released IRS whistleblower records by the House Ways and Means Committee have revealed a screenshot of a 2017 WeChat message thread involving Hunter Biden, his uncle James Biden, and an individual labeled as “Dad.” The content of the messaging thread is redacted, but it shows “Dad” as the administrator, with the subject line “Hunt/Jim,” apparently referring to President Joe Biden’s son and brother.
Notably, the source file of the message was listed as “Robert’s iPad” – Robert being Hunter Biden’s middle name. The date of the message exchange was December 19, 2017, the year Joe Biden left the vice presidency and the Biden family’s business ventures were raking in substantial sums from foreign deals.
The inclusion of this WeChat conversation raises concerns due to the Chinese Communist Party’s known monitoring of the messaging platform, according to Monmouth University.
The newly released documents also indicate that Kevin Morris, Hunter Biden’s former so-called “sugar brother,” had some involvement with the CIA. The Department of Justice (DOJ) could not interview Morris “as a witness” in its probe of Hunter Biden based on information received from the CIA, according to the committee’s findings.
This revelation prompted questions from observers like Sean Davis, CEO of the Federalist, who questioned on X (formerly Twitter): “So Hunter Biden’s sugar daddy—the weirdo who paid off Hunter’s tax bills and paid for his lawyers and apparently bankrolled Hunter’s documentary—is a CIA asset? Which means the CIA has been protecting Hunter the whole time?”
Additionally, the documents suggest that Hunter Biden may have lied to Congress during his closed-door deposition, further compounding the controversies surrounding the President’s son.
The House’s investigation into the Biden family, launched in 2022, has uncovered a web of financial dealings involving not just Hunter and James Biden, but also nine other Biden family members, including two of Joe Biden’s grandchildren. The probe revealed that Joe Biden received money from his son and brother’s ventures.
As more details emerge from the whistleblower records, questions continue to mount regarding the Biden family’s business dealings, potential conflicts of interest, and the extent of involvement by government agencies in shielding or enabling these activities.
