During a live-streamed Apple event today, Apple unveiled Two new iPads: the iPad Air 2024 and iPad Pro 2024, both of which come with significant upgrades and new features.
The iPad Pro 2024 boasts a new M4 chip, which is built on a 3-nanometer process, promising up to 4x faster performance in pro rendering apps compared to the M2 chip. It also features a tandem OLED display technology that combines two OLED panels to offer full-screen brightness of up to 1,000 nits for SDR content and up to 1,600 nits for HDR content. This new display technology enhances the highlights in photos and videos and provides more details in the shadows.
It’s the thinnest iPad ever, and also the thinnest product that Apple has ever sold.

The iPad Air 2024, on the other hand, is an upgrade to the 11-inch model and introduces a larger 13-inch size option. The new iPad Air is equipped with an M2 chip, which offers a performance boost of nearly 50% over the previous iPad Air with the M1 chip. The new 13-inch model starts at $799, making it a more affordable option for those looking for a larger screen.
