Barron Trump, the youngest son of former President Donald Trump, has been selected as one of Florida’s at-large delegates to the Republican National Convention. At 18 years old, he is stepping into the political arena before graduating from high school. This decision was made by the Republican Party of Florida, which also chose other members of the Trump family as delegates, including Eric Trump as delegation chair and Donald Trump Jr. and Tiffany Boulos, along with her husband Michael Boulos.

An official from the Trump campaign noted Barron’s keen interest in the political process. The family’s involvement in politics continues despite Barron’s pending high school graduation from Oxbridge Academy in suburban West Palm Beach, an event Donald Trump plans to attend despite his ongoing legal trial in Manhattan.
The Florida GOP delegation for the 2024 convention also includes prominent state Republicans and former supporters of Gov. Ron DeSantis, highlighting a blend of grassroots leaders, elected officials, and Trump family members. Florida Republican Party Chair Evan Power emphasized the strength of this group in his statement.
Notably, Ivanka Trump, who served as a senior adviser during the Trump administration, is not participating in politics at this time, unlike her siblings. This assembly of delegates, including influential figures within the Florida GOP, underscores the continued influence of the Trump family in state and national politics. Recent polls indicate Donald Trump leads President Joe Biden in Florida by over ten points, a state Trump won in both the 2016 and 2020 elections.
