Representative Maxine Waters (D-CA) expressed concerns on MSNBC’s “The Sunday Show” that supporters of former President Donald Trump are preparing for violence if he loses his 2024 re-election bid. Waters made these remarks following Trump’s recent interview with TIME Magazine. She claimed that Trump’s supporters are “training up in the hills somewhere” and planning which communities they will “attack.”
Waters also indicated her intention to ask President Joe Biden and the Justice Department about their plans to prevent and address potential violence from “right-wing organizations.” She emphasized the need for the administration to protect the country against such threats, although she provided no evidence to support her claims.

The congresswoman has previously been in the spotlight for suggesting that members of Trump’s administration should be confronted in public. In the past, Waters has encouraged public displays of opposition towards members of the former president’s Cabinet.
